Conversion of Church to Multiuse Building

To provide an additional, flexible and adaptable space that can be used by a variety of community groups. The church is a two storey building. The largest room on the lower level is already used for a wide range of activities but has two hazardous supporting pillars. The upper level comprises a much larger single room which is only used Sundays currently with traditional pews. The major elements of the project are re-roofing, replacement heating, remove pews and new hardwood timber floor. The conversion will alleviate existing under capacity (the downstairs space is inadequate) and enable different activities to run simultaneously (ie upstairs and downstairs). A whole range of new activities and user groups will be able to be accommodated.
