Improvements at Church Approach, Thorpe

This project seeks funding to undertake a number of environmental improvements at Church Approach, Thorpe which is within a Conservation Area. The project will enhance the setting of St Mary’s Church, which is a listed building, by eliminating car parking in the Approach and will also provide improved and safer access to all who visit the Church and its Community Room.
Specifically work will include –
Eliminating car parking (which will be provided elsewhere)
Surfacing of the road
Improving drainage to the Approach
Providing central road islands appropriately landscaped
Supplementing existing street lighting
The site is not public highway
