Newall Green Nature Area

The GCM funding is being requested to support planting events in Newall Green Nature Area. The planting events will aim to: improve the entrance points to the nature area along Tuffley Road and Greenbrow Road. Re-invigorate the Newall Green Nature Area group and the local community who have worked hard to improve the area over the last 18 months.

Increase the visual amenity and natural environment of the area. This will be done by: the Park Warden working with local residents to plan the events and planting in keeping with the areas nature area status, running a number of community planting days involving, the Newall Green Nature area group (who are local residents), the local primary school, the wider community & volunteers (e.g. Manchester Airport volunteers)
