Pavilion re-development

Wollaton, 3.5 miles west of Nottingham city centre, has provided the local population with cricket, tennis, football & bowls facilities, via the Wollaton Sports Association (WSA). Membership of these sports clubs is open to all – men, women & children, regardless of gender, race or religion. In the 1930s, Lord Myddleton granted the ground to (what is now) the WSA, on the condition that the facilities would always be available for the community. The WSA pavilion is around 60 years old & being largely timber-built, it has reached the stage where it needs significant investment, so that the WSA can continue to retain & attract new members to the sports clubs.
