QEII Fields Russell’s Hall Project, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council Parks Development Team, Dudley MBC

This is a project for the installation of a drainage system at QEII Fields Russell’s Hall Park. The installation of a pipe drainage system will help remove surface water quickly to allow oxygen into the root area which will help promote good strong grass growth providing an even playing surface that can sustain full size youth football pitches, which can be played on throughout the football season. The park is currently waterlogged and unusable for a large section of the year; there are currently no pitches marked out on the area. Therefore no competitive sports take place on the open space or any training sessions.
