Refurbishment of historic staircase at entrance to Peel Park

The project forms part of a wider project to refurbish the historic Peel Park in Salford in order to “create an attractive, well used park for 21st Century living providing a place for enjoyment, inspiration, reflection and a source of local pride”. The actual project is the restoration of the sole surviving Victorian steps down into the park. The steps will serve the proposed Park Keeper’s Office and a proposed level path from the “blue Badge” car. Restoration of these steps will provide a safe route into the park in a manner in keeping with the Victorian character of the park.
