Richhill Castle Wall

Repair and restoration of stonework on boundary wall of castle grounds. The castle which is grade A listed was built in about 1665 by Major Edward Richardson and is considered to be the earliest non fortified dwelling in Ireland. The restoration work on the wall while treated as an individual project is part of a suite of projects aimed at restoring this historically important castle and making it suitable for community use
