Sandown Community Garden

Sandown Community Garden caters for disadvantaged children and young adults and those with additional support requirements. Participants benefit from regular fresh air, activity and exercise, while taking advantage of training and resources provided, to grow, cook and enjoy home-grown fruit and vegetables in season, while reducing food miles, unnecessary packaging and waste, by effective composting and recycling. This will improve both physical and overall well-being and promotes important life skills
