The Centre for American Culture Studies

The project will retrofit two historic buildings to create an educational centre of the programs of the American Museum. The centre will allow the museum to host lectures, films, exhibition related workshops, host university courses, and have a space for temporary exhibitions. It will also allow the museum to make a space available to community groups, and for event rentals.
It will allow the museum to provide continuing education courses for adults and mature students at a much greater rate. It could potentially change the dynamics 10 fold – going from 150 adult students annually to 1000 or more.
