The Hut – Anderston Community Association

The Anderston Community Association is a community lead project that aims to raise funds for the re-build of its community hall, which is known locally as “The Hut”. The hut has provided residents of Anderston with a much needed focal point for community activities where residents in the past have used the premises for community events and activities, however, due to extensive water damage gaining access to the building it is no longer available for use. The management committee propose to remedy this situation by applying for funding to have the current facility demolished and carry out a re-build on the present site. The beneficiaries of the Community Hut will be the members and residents of Anderston area and its environs, regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, disability or sexuality. By carrying out this work the new build will fit in with the regeneration of the local area.
