Project Detail

A Charitable organisation attempting to raise funds to place a Statute of a Miner near to an old Mining Colliery Site in a small Welsh villiage to commemorate the miners that lost their lives in the Pit disaster of 1927. The Statute would be erected in a garden area just of the main bypass road which would have a strong and immediate impact on passing motorists and create an area for the local residents to visit and reflect. It would also create a reminder to the younger generation of the area, of the industry that brought so many a living in the village.
