Project Detail

This is a project to fund the development of two plots within Recreation Street Allotments to be developed for use as community allotments. The plots will provide a learning environment for the local community, including use by schools, youth clubs, disabled groups and local families.The plans include: Scraping the existing surface and replacing with fresh soil; design and building of raised beds to benefit children and disabled users; flagged walkways to improve access; initial purchase of tools that disabled people/children can use; initial purchase of seeds, bulbs, pots and potting compost.
