Pluckington Quadrant Improvement Project, Stadt Moers Park

Pluckington Quadrant is 5.42ha with an open grassland area, pond, wetland and allotment site all surrounded by dense woodland. The site is part of Stadt Moers Park which is 91ha. However, it is cut off from the rest of Stadt Moers Park by a motor way and busy road, which has meant Pluckington Quadrant has become a distinct and individual element of the Stadt Moers Park. The project will make the park more inviting for the community through: - •a new pedestrian entrance leading into the Park •Install an entrance feature •Scrub clearance and three thinning to create clear site lines into Pluckington and the Allotments •Install signage and interpretation to inform and educate residents about the natural features of the Park. There will also be woodland management and pond dredging to improve the biodiversity of the site.
