Whitchurch Methodist Church, situated in a northern suburb of Cardiff, has been a mainstay of the local community for over 100 years. The amenity comprises a place of worship and two adjoining halls that are used extensively by the general public as a meeting place and for leisure and recreation purposes. The church's management committee is forward thinking and there is a strong emphasis on engagement with the community at large. This project will provide a community cafe as a new-build 'sandwiched' between the main building and one of the two halls. The cafe will be operated in partnership with a local charity: it's sole purpose will be to serve the community whilst providing part-time employment and volunteer opportunities on all-inclusive basis.
