Cardiff Story Museum - Phase 2

The Cardiff Story museum is the hub for Cardiff’s heritage, housed in one of the city’s most historic buildings, the grade II* listed Old Library. It seeks to encourage Cardiffians to value, explore and represent their city, environment and identity; their past, present and future. The Museum opened in 2011 following completion of phase 1 (ground floor); it has been a great success with annual footfall of 300,000 and in response to public demand phase 2 will open up the first floor gallery and this space will eventually house the ‘Cardiff Communities’ exhibition. This project will contribute towards physical improvements that will enable this first floor space to be fully utilised.
