Project Detail

Pentyrch Memorial Field was gifted to Pentyrch Community Council (PCC) on a 99-year lease from the Royal British legion in 1951 at a peppercorn rent. There are in excess of 2500 households within the PCC area, the amenity is centrally located, well maintained and open to all. It currently has some play equipment for small children and this project will install apparatus for use by older children and teenagers to use and enjoy. The park is used for recreational purposes by walkers, dog-walkers, individuals and local community groups and with plenty of space available for expansion of the play area, this project will add value to the amenity; the project is being led by a local action group, the ‘Pentyrch Active Recreation Committee’ (PARC) who have forged a strong working relationship with the PCC.
